Northern Colorado Coaches Philanthropy

To raise awareness about the power of coaching, and to support local groups making the world a better place, a group of coaches in Northern Colorado partner with selected nonprofits to provide coaching for their leadership team members.

The purpose of this page is to answer some common questions about this program, and to show information about the participating coaches for those picking who they would prefer to work with.

Thanks to Trebuchet Group for hosting the Northern Colorado Coaches page on their website. Thanks to our project organizer, Maria Swall.

  • What can I expect from the coaching?
One analogy to describe coaching is a horse-drawn coach or a carriage. Coaches can help carry you from where you are now to where you would like to be. We help you become more self aware and support you as you take action to get where you want to go.

  • How long will the coaching last?
Coaches will provide up to 3 sessions as part of this project. These can be in person or by phone, typically scheduled for 30 minutes - 1 hour each, and may be scheduled weekly, every two weeks, or in a way that fits both your schedules.

  • What kind of topics can be covered?
Coaching can cover a wide range of topics. Some examples: getting off to a great start in a new job; increasing effectiveness; dealing with overwhelm and busyness; being an effective supervisor; working through self-imposed restraints; getting a handle on priorities and effective use of time; becoming a better listener; being see as a team player; dealing with a challenging person; sorting through challenges; a place to think out loud.

  • Will information about what we talk about be shared with our organization?
Your coaching is confidential - your conversations will not be shared with anyone else in your organization.
